Vinny (“we”, “us”) helps puppy owners with personalized daily care plans and coaching. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Information we collect

Account: name, Sign in with Apple identifiers, and optional email.
Dog profile: name, breed, age, sex, and care preferences you enter.
Usage: care plans, journal entries, memories, and Ask Vinny chat messages.
Media: photos or short training clips you choose to upload for coaching (Vinny Plus).
Purchases: subscription status processed by Apple / RevenueCat (we do not store full payment card numbers).
Diagnostics: crash and performance data (e.g. Sentry) and product analytics (e.g. PostHog) when enabled.

How we use information

Generate your daily care plan and coaching replies.
Remember facts you ask Vinny to keep about your dog.
Unlock Vinny Plus features and enforce fair-use limits.
Improve reliability and prevent abuse.

AI processing

Free Ask Vinny answers use on-device / server rules when possible. Vinny Plus text and photo coaching may be sent to OpenAI (or a similar provider) to generate replies. Do not upload sensitive personal data you do not want processed by our AI providers.

Sharing

We use infrastructure providers (hosting, database, analytics, AI, and App Store billing). We do not sell your personal information.

Retention & deletion

You can delete your account and associated dog data from Profile → Delete account, or by emailing support. We retain records only as needed for legal, security, or billing obligations.

Children

Vinny is intended for adults caring for dogs. It is not directed at children under 13.
